There is a debate about whether it is best to stay put and “shelter in place” as chaos hits… or go abroad and look for a place more likely to remain peaceful… where you and your family can live a reasonable quality of life while trouble plays out and gets resolved in North America.
Should you stay or go? Is it better to remain in your home country - or are you better off creating an international lifestyle?
The first thing is… It’s not an either/or question… it’s and. It’s an and question. You need to think about staying and going. If you stay in place, you need to have enough to survive… but you also need the option to excuse yourself if things get too nuts.
If you go abroad and find a pleasant little Plan B location like I have, you also need to think about how you will shelter in place if things break down and the world plunges into chaos.
